It is snowing again today. The weather here has become so odd. We didn’t get snow until December 30th last year, but then 2022 comes along and its like, “here’s that snow we forgot to deliver last year.” Gee, thanks I guess?
I’m always freezing as it is (like seriously I wear heavy sweatshirts and earmuffs in July), so days like today make me need a good warm blanket to snuggle up in. Fortunately, over the years I have crocheted literally hundreds of blankets, so there is no shortage around here.

My Bubbly Bobble Blanket resides on the back of my couch-which-doubles-as-my-office-chair and has made many an appearance in Zoom meetings. It gets a ton of compliments from my coworkers who don’t crochet every time I get cold!
This blanket uses bulky (5) weight yarn and a 6mm hook. It has easy to follow repeats which are the perfect balance to give you easy mindless project that won’t get boring. The pattern contains full color tutorial photos for the special stitches used as well! Grab your copy of the Bubbly Bobble Blanket pattern below:

This month, I am also participating in the Crochet Business Hop for Charity hosted by my friend Melanie from Simply Melanie Jane. This month, several crochet designers have teamed up and will be donating a portion of our sales to Wigs for Kids. By now I’m sure you know how cancer has affected me personally, so I was thrilled to be asked to join in this event. I will be donating 50% of my pattern sales profits for the month of February to this great cause. Collectively, our goal is to donate enough money to produce one wig, which costs about $1,800.
I have more designs and other fun events coming soon, so be sure to subscribe to the Straight Awesome newsletter so you’ll be among the first to know about all the fun!
Until next time,
Happy Hooking!
