Week 10 is complete! This one is called the Rip Tides Square, designed by Sarah Thompson from Rich Textures Crochet. Find this week’s pattern HERE.

There is a lot to love about this square. For one, it is another one that is worked from the bottom up, rather than center out. Don’t get me wrong, I have loved the center out ones too, but in a project like this, I am loving the occasional square that isn’t made in the same direction.

I also love the texture of this one. It looks so complicated, but it was actually very easy to learn and remember. One thing it was not though, was quick to make. Each square took me about 6 hours for some reason, but I had a good amount of time to myself this week, so I settled in on the couch and crocheted while I watched Netflix.

If you remember, last week I had a tough time getting 2 squares done, and I didnt even get them blocked. I set a goal for myself to complete 3 squares for week 10, as well as make one square each for the weeks I hadn’t finished 3 of, plus get them all blocked. I am missing a 3rd square from weeks 6, 8 and 9, so that meant my goal was to make 6 squares and block 8. How did I do on achieving my goal? Well, take a look:

I actually met my goal! All 30 squares are blocked and waiting. Icant believe there are only 2 weeks left before I take on the task of sewing these all together! Im trying to decide not only placement, but what stitch to use to sew them, whether I’d rather crochet them together, what color or colors of yarn to use to do the actual sewing, and what I’m going to do for a border. If you have a suggestion, I’d love to hear it! Just leave a comment for me below.

Until next week, Happy Hooking!
