Pattern Release: the Tic Tac Toasty Shawl

I can’t believe it either, but my third Pattern Release in October is already here!

Today is the big day for the debut of my Tic Tac Toasty Shawl. This pattern uses the filet crochet technique, and is such fun to make!

I used just about 2 balls of Lion Brand Mandala in the Wizard colorway for my Tic Tac Toasty Shawl design sample. I have been holding on to that yarn for 2 or 3 years, because nothing I was designing was “right’ for that colorway. I sure am glad that I waited so long to use it, because I am in love with the bright happy colors that match the changing colors outside!

I designed it to resemble alternating rows of X’s and O’s, and this was one of the very few occasions where I have the easiest time naming a design- plus I was able to incorporate alliteration and a pun, both of which I am just a sucker for. (Tic Tac Toe, Toasty- you get what I’m saying, right?)
