Psalm 34:18 says, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (New International Version)

This hat was designed for the 2025 Crochet Cancer Challenge in honor of my mother whom I lost to Ovarian Cancer, my father whom I lost to Brain Cancer, and my husband whom I lost not to cancer, but 3 weeks prior to designing this hat.

You will need worsted weight yarn and a 5mm crochet hook.

This pattern is suitable for intermediate crocheters, however stitch tutorial videos are available on my Rumble channel, which is linked in the PDF.
