Straight Hooked Free Pattern Palooza

Hello my friend! I want to apologize for not posting last week. I took a much-needed break from the internet, and spent some time focusing on playing with yarn!

Today I have a few updates for you about fun things happening here and on a few friends' websites. Spolier alert: there's a whole lotta free patterns!

(ad disclosure: as a blogger, I make a little bit of money from allowing ads on my site, as well as participating in affiliate programs. If you click an ad or affiliate link, I may receive some small compensation at no additional cost to you. You can read all about it in my long, boring privacy policy if you really want to)

Straight Hooked Ice Cap Headband at Made With a Twist

I was asked to guest post earlier this week at Made With a Twist! If you don't know her, Pam is the designer whose Messy Bun Hat went viral a few years back. She was so overwhelmed with orders for the hat and needed help. A mutual friend put us in contact with one another, and I was honored to be one of her contract crocheters. I made literally hundreds of hats for her, and spent 6 weeks living in my recliner, fueled by coffee and an hour or two of sleep a night, just crocheting hats. My spouse had been urging me for years prior to turn my love of hooking into a business, but I had continually brushed him off, saying, "nobody would be willing to pay me for the time I spend crocheting". Pam's success proved me wrong, and when she started the Crochetpreneur Business Academy, I was one of the first hookers to sign up! If you are interested in learning more about the CBA, you can click my affiliate link HERE

The pattern I chose to share for FREE on Pam's blog is my Ice Cap Headband pattern. You can check it out HERE.

If you would prefer to get the ad-free copy, you can purchase it exclusively here  at Straight Hooked. The Ice Cap Fingerless Gloves go perfectly with the headband, and if you wish to snag both patterns, I have them bundled together at a discount for you! Click any of the links below:

Isn't Helen's finished blanket gorgeous? Each square is made using worsted weight yarn. You can choose a color scheme like Helen did, or you can make this a stashbusting project and use what you have. Either way, your finished blanket is going to be fabulous! Click HERE for the CAL

Well, this is all of my news for now. I hope you will take advantage of all of these opportunities, not only to grab some free patterns but to also get to know some new designers! If you haven't already subscribed to the Straight Awesome newsletter, make sure you do! I promise not to flood your inbox, but I do like to keep in touch with you and let you know what's going on here at Straight Hooked Headquarters (aka my couch). I also offer some exclusive deals and freebies to my subscribers, and I know you don't want to miss out on that action!

Until next time,

Happy Hooking!
