Happy Friday! Can you believe tomorrow it is already August? This year has been so crazy, not just globally but in my personal life as well. And July has been the absolute longest month of my life. Lots of changes, but good ones. I was trying to think of the best way to celebrate the end of this long long month, and I thought, what better way than to have a little sale? I have really been focusing on designing this year, and while I have several new patterns coming soon, I have already released a solid handful so far.
Guess what?! I am putting all of my patterns on sale until the end of August! Use the code StraightHookin and take 35% off of any pattern at checkout! I put a lot of time and effort into each of my designs, and have them tested by my amazing group of talented crocheters. Every pattern I publish comes to you digitally in a full-color PDF with detailed instructions. If you're on the fence about trying out my patterns, you can get a feel for my style with a few free patterns here on my blog!
So what are these patterns? I'm glad you asked. Here are all of the patterns published by Straight Hooked (mostly by myself, but a few my daughter has designed as well):
I designed this cowl using Lion Brand Ferris Wheel yarn (which is how this cowl got such a clever name), but you can use any worsted weight yarn you desire. This pattern works up quickly with 2 repeated rows. Great for working up some gifts while you binge your favorite show!
I designed this headband using Bernat Velvet yarn. (You can use Lion Brand Vel-Luxe, but I don't recommend it. See my full velvet yarn review HERE). This pattern utilizes an elastic hair tie, which keeps your headband secure all day long! This was a best seller locally for me, and is quick and fun to make! Hate ads? You can purchase the PDF HERE
I designed this cowl using one ball of Lion Brand Mandala Sparkle. I love that the changing colorway makes this cowl look like several in one, just by rotating. This pattern is fun to work up and easy to master, though it looks very complicated!
My daughter designed this headband to be sturdy and whimsical. You will need a few extra supplies, like a cheap headband and some wire, but the end result is just so cute!
I was gifted a hank of ALC Yarns Hand-dyed Superwash Merino wool and designed this triangle scarf. You can certainly use any worsted weight yarn, but I strongly recommend you try the ALC Yarn because it is so soft and amazing to work with. If you hate ads, you can purchase the PDF HERE
I designed this while thinking of my mother, who was born at the beginning of July and grew up thinking the fireworks were for her birthday celebration. As an adult, she loved decorating herself with the American Flag in July, and she would have been so cute in this head wrap! Purchase the ad-free version HERE
This ingenious design by my daughter creates reversible ghosts from everyone's favorite 80s arcade game! (She designed this before we learned about copyright laws, and this is the ONLY breach we will ever have on the site, even though my amazingly talented kid has designed a bunch of amazing character patterns)
My daughter designed these adorable penguins this summer, and ran her first pattern test by herself! This pattern is easy to follow, and your end result will be too adorable to stop at just making one!
Don't you hate shawls that slip off of your shoulders and hit the ground? Yeah, me too. That's why I designed this shawl with "sleeves" so it may slide off your shoulders, but it won't fall down! I used 3 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala for this design sample, but you can use any sport weight yarn of your choosing!
One of my testers helped me name this shawl, which has become my most popular design of the year! I used YarnBee Caterina for this design, but any sport weight yarn will look fabulous. This pattern is easy to master, and makes the perfect project for working up while spending time with your family, as you won't need to count out loud once you learn the easy repeats!
I designed this hat using Bernat Velvet, and this pattern is so much fun to work up! The Messy Bun hat design is super popular every fall and winter, because you can keep your ears warm and still have cute hair!
This hat also uses Bernat Velvet yarn, and is a great "twist" on the Messy Bun hat phenomenon we all know and love!
Wow, it is crazy to see all of the patterns I have released laid out on one page. There are so many more designs coming soon, such as the Friendship Prayer Shawl and the Berry Fun Beret, PLUS a beautiful baby blanket pattern and more beanies coming this fall. What else is up my sleeve? You'll just have to stay tuned to find out!
Be sure you are subscribed to the Straight Awesome newsletter, because you will receive FREE patterns and exclusive discounts as a member of the Straight Hooked family! Also, be sure to follow me on social media so you can be among the first to see my new designs and share your projects with me!
