Best Valentine's Gift Patterns 2020

Wow, Valentine’s Day is almost here! I feel like I just stopped seeing Christmas lights around the neighborhood last week though. Time really flies when you’re playing with yarn, I guess. Personally, I’ve never been huge into Valentine’s Day. The price of flowers becomes inflated, restaurants are jam-packed, and if you don’t do at least something to acknowledge the day, you must not love your person. Honestly, the greeting card companies have their foot on our necks and they just won’t let up! (I could spend a solid hour here ranting about every greeting card holiday throughout the year, but I will use self-restraint.) Yes, Valentine’s Day is the first gift-giving date of the year, but the reality is that we did just put away the Christmas decorations, the Visa bill has arrived, and ouch. Now here’s Valentine’s Day, begging you to drop a small fortune to say “I love you”. Seriously? It isn’t enough that we say it and show it daily, I have to buy you a present because all of the pink and red cards at the store say so? Yep. In our society, if you don’t give a gift for Valentine’s Day, you might as well consider the relationship over.

So what’s a cheapo such as myself supposed to do? Well, if a cheapo such as myself just happens to know how to crochet, I’ve got you covered. Here’s a list of great crochet patterns perfect for Valentine’s Day. And the best part? (Aside from not dropping a couple hundred bucks, of course) These gifts will last and be appreciated long after the overpriced roses are dead and the only chocolates left are the ones with one bite out of them, exposing the nasty filling! Bonus: if you already have the yarn on hand, all you’ll spend is your time and your love. And how can there be a better gift than one you put your heart into? I hope you find a pattern you just love from this list, and I hope you will share pictures with me when your gift is complete!
